Washing Machine, The (1992)

Directors: Ruggero Deodato
Genre: Giallo/Sleaze

Synopsis:
"In this fine Ruggero Deodato (CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST) perverse giallo, three sisters - voluptuous Vida, Maria and Ludmilla - live together in a run-down apartment building in Budapest. The sisters all vie for the attentions of Yuri Petkov, a dubious middle-aged pimp who plays them off against each other.

One evening, Ludmilla claims to have found Yuri's body stuffed into their washing machine, but when Inspector Stacev arrives to investigate the body has disappeared. The good-looking young inspector attempts to disover the truth but in doing so becomes drawn into the sisters' bizarre sex games. Stars Philippe Caroit, Barbara Ricci, Ilaria Borelli, Kashia Figura and Yorgo Voyagis with a fine score by Claudio Simonetti (Goblin)." - from Xploitedcinema

My oppinion:
The Washing Machine was surprisingly good in my opinion, considering my expectations. The plot was far from perfect, but it was decent enough actually. Far better then I expected. Deodato did rather well with the direction as well, as it had a stylish look throughout. The fact that "the twisted sisters" get naked a lot doesn't hurt the movie either. The oldest sister really annoyed me though, and so did her acting. Unlike the other sisters, and the blind girl, she wasn't very attractive in my eyes either. The Maria character was really nice to look at by the way. There are even a few gory bits as well, though not as many as I expected.
All things considered, I though it was pretty entertaining and it kept me interested all the way. Well worth the 1 1/2 hours spent!
