My oppinion:
As I knew nothing about this movie other then seeing the cover, I expected a classic Sci-Fi Alien Abduction movie. I was pleasantly surprised to find out it was just as much a horror flick. I didn't notice until afterwards that the guys behind the "Re-Animator" movies were involved in this one. The acting was good, and there were some really nice gore effects (like when the lead actress is dreaming of giving birth to a alien baby) The other alien effects were pretty dull though.. And I've always enjoyed the look of Brad Dourif on the screen. He's a spooky guy! You'll also get some "kinky" scenes on the spaceship when the lead actress is being probed etc.
All in all, I found Progeny to be a very enjoyable and entertaining Sci-Fi Horror movie!
