My oppinion:
I was browsing through DVD Pacific's cheap titles when I stumbled across this one. When seeing the cover, I just had to get it! My expectations were actually sky-high after reading a review somewhere on the net. That's always a bit a bit dangerous, as you're often left a bit disappointed and that's what happened for me in this case. It just wasn't half as crazy as that review indicated. Don't get me wrong, it's one of the best blaxploitation movies I've ever seen, it's just that I had hoped for something even better.. I love how Frost has put in real Hitler/Gestapo footage in there. The story is decent enough and the last 15 minutes of the movie is just great fun! Other things you'll get from this one is a fair amount of nudity and of course some classic blaxploitation music.
So, despite me beeing a little bit disappointed, Black Gestapo was very entertaining and if you're into this genre, I'm sure you'll love it!

My rating:
